2014: Thank you.
2014 has been crazy for me. So much has happened in the last year; I turned 21 (yea, adult!), I got a new job with a wonderful company in OKC, got to travel all across Oklahoma and Texas to shoot alongside my friends and favorite photographers, went to NYC with my favorite friends, graduated with my bachelor's degree from the University of Science and arts of Oklahoma, and moved in with my wonderful partner, Zachary. These are just the things I can think of off the top of my head. This year was jam-packed.
Attending school full time and working 3 jobs for a year can really take a toll on the things you love. There were times in 2014 where I thought I would never be "unstressed." From school work, to shoots, editing, waiting tables and taking photos, sometimes it was a struggle to balance work with family and friends, and what I love doing most: taking photos. Believe me, sometimes during all-nighters I longed to be culling, editing and color correcting rather than finishing papers or portfolios (Sorry, professors). No matter how much I struggled though, I had an incredible group of people around me; friends, family, professors, photographers, and even dogs, to keep me going. They may not know it, but I love them so, and they have made my life incredibly wonderful over the past year in big and small, and sometimes unknown ways. Thank you all for your love and friendship. I'm trying not to cry all over the keys, here.
I got know so many wonderful people during my crazy year, and I am so incredibly grateful for you all allowing me the opportunity to capture your memories and to be a part of your lives. I'm sort of sad to be out of school, but my education certainly isn't finished. I'm so happy to have the opportunity in 2015 to focus on my love of photography and to spend every minute I can learning more, shooting more, and growing. In 2014 I traveled, danced at weddings, held a lot of dresses, met a lot of absolutely wonderful people and ate way too much wedding cake. My heart is so full when I remember 2014. Thank you so much for being a part of it. Here's to more in 2015!
